If I Stay-A Film Review||❤

If I Stay
Rating; 4.8/5 stars
Usually I complain a lot when books are adapted to films because they usually miss out key information which should be involved in the film but I do understand that not every wish can be come true.

This film lived up to my expectations surprisingly. I watched this film shortly after the book when the heavy heart-felt emotions toward the book were still present and I couldn't help but bawl my eyes out by the end of the film. I literally couldn't stop! I cried at Mia's and Adam's relationship, when her Grandfather was talking to her and I cried when the film ended because I wanted more. I loved how it was adapted and it was just as I had imagined.

The actors were brilliant. I loved Chloe Grace Mortez' portrayal of the Mia as a character. I heard that she actually took months of Cello lessons just so she could connect with her character and I think it worked because her performance was breathtaking! Jamie Blackley, *swoon*. He was just so amazing as Adam and I just wanted to have him. I couldn't help but stare at his beautiful face I mean who could have played Adam better? I know that some people didn't really like him but I really did feel like Chloe and Jamie had a great connection on screen/off screen which meant that it didn't feel as awkward as other films.

I do think that the film went a bit slow for me and it did drag on for a bit. That wasn't really that much of an issue but things could have been a bit quicker. On the bright side, I do hope that the second book will be made into a movie because that would complete my life!

Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets-A Book Review||❤

Harry Potter and the Chamber Of Secrets
By J.K. Rowling
Publication Date: May 28th 1999
Rating: 4/5 stars

Harry Potter is a wizard. He is in his second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Little does he know that this year will be just as eventful as the last…

My Thoughts...
This book is probably my second favourite Harry Potter book. This is where everything starts and this is where the drama begins!! This is where we start to see how important Harry Potter is. Also  we meet new characters who will play quite a large role in Harry's school life.

My favourite characters out of this book would have to be Professor Lockhart. I love how he is deluded and thinks too high of himself when we know as readers that he is not all he says he is. He takes a liking to Potter to guide him through his 'fame' and teach him how to not let take it over him even though Harry is completely confused. My other favourite character in the book would have to be Dobby, who doesn't love him? He is such a sweet elf who thinks about others way before himself. He is what you would call a loyal elf to his master and is just such a humble little elf. He does cause quite a few problems though but he is quite clueless.

We also encounter *whispers* 'You-Know-Who' which is quite exciting as he is in a different form but I don't want to give away what he is up to or I would basically spoil the whole book for you. Once I start talking about a tiny part of the book I will end up telling the whole plot. Also we find out that Harry can speak (SPOILER ALERT-uncover the highlight) Parsel tongue which means he can communicate with snakes. He only has the power as it was transferred to him when he Voldermort attempted to kill Harry when he was a baby!  I had to let that out somewhere! That is probably the most fascinating thing about Harry, he has the ability do what I mentioned before.

Overall I do think that this was a very good second book to the series and definitely didn't disappoint after reading it again. I would definitely advise you to carry onto the second book if you didn't really like the first book as it is where the drama really starts to really unfold and things get more interesting.

What's your favourite book from the series?

Wattpad Stories(#2)||❤

Hi guys,
As you might already know I am a Wattpad addict. I will literally sit there for hours looking at different stories. Although it may look like a place filled with Larry Fanfictions and Typical love stories, if you dig deep enough you will find really well written stories which deserve to be noticed. I also linked the stories (click on the titles) so you could check them out.

Sometimes all you need is a quirky little coffee shop to call home..

-----
I was so surprised that this book hasn't been published yet. At first I thought I was reading a proper book on my because it was so beautifully written. It was filled with so much emotion that I started crying when I finished the book. It wasn't cliché where they all had perfect lives, each character was as messed up as the next but somehow when they were together they were like a massive family. I aid definitely recommend this book for you to read on Wattpad because it is just fabulous!

 This is a light-hearted book which will definitely tickle your emotions. This is such a sweet book filled with loveable characters who are supportive, quite serious but hilarious at the same time. I think I have seen this type of concept around before but my word it is what you call an amazing book which will definitely have you smiling from ear to ear!

Crown Of Midnight-A Book Review||❤

Crown Of Midnight
By Sarah J. Maas
Publication Date: August 27th 2013
Rating: 5 stars
"A line that should never be crossed is about to be breached.

It puts this entire castle in jeopardy—and the life of your friend."

From the throne of glass rules a king with a fist of iron and a soul as black as pitch. Assassin Celaena Sardothien won a brutal contest to become his Champion. Yet Celaena is far from loyal to the crown. She hides her secret vigilantly; she knows that the man she serves is bent on evil.

Keeping up the deadly charade becomes increasingly difficult when Celaena realizes she is not the only one seeking justice. As she tries to untangle the mysteries buried deep within the glass castle, her closest relationships suffer. It seems no one is above questioning her allegiances—not the Crown Prince Dorian; not Chaol, the Captain of the Guard; not even her best friend, Nehemia, a foreign princess with a rebel heart.

Then one terrible night, the secrets they have all been keeping lead to an unspeakable tragedy. As Celaena's world shatters, she will be forced to give up the very thing most precious to her and decide once and for all where her true loyalties lie...and whom she is ultimately willing to fight for.

 My Thoughts
This book met every single expectation I had listed in my mind!! It was as feisty, magical and phenomenal as the other book. This literally blew my mind and I just can't even contain my love for this series of books. Celaena has already been crowned the kings champion and is stuck doing her dirty work. The king fears that societies are being made against him and his court. The death camps are filling up and he is willing to defeat any potential enemy. All of her friends are disgusted by all the murders she has committed on behalf of the king but she has a little secret which you can find out when you read the book. (I was just about to give away a spoiler!)

Only a tiny part of the book bugged me. WHY CELAENA DID YOU PICK CHAOL HE IS BORING!! I'm a hardcore Caelorian shipper and I will sink with it. This isn't actually a massive issue but come on, Dorian is way more attractive and funny whereas Chaol barely smiles and he is just a stares. Also why does Celaena have to do the frickle frackle with Chalk, Dorian is just better!! But I do have to say he freedom me for like 4 chapters and then he annoyed me and fir once I had hope that Celaena would realise that Dorian is the one. Alright, I think I am getting a bit too carried away here.

Magic. Magic. Magic, madness, heaven, sin. (Taylor Swift Jam) I didn't expect much from it but boy it hit me with a brick. I love how it was uncontrollable and if anyone found out it would be punishable by death. It brought a sense of sneakiness and had me at the edge of my seat every single time I flipped a page. One part when a character, naming no names, says "Let go, Let.." and everything flew around around his I was literally like 'Elsa? Is that you?' because you know Let It Go and she can you know to stuff. Back to the subject! I also loved how delusi-nal they were and how they thought everything was a dream but it was actually true.

Overall, I really did enjoy this book and this series has definitely climbed into my favourites.
This is how you write a fantastic book, it is filled with everything you could imagine of and I promise you willing be spell-bound.

Where She Went-A Book Review||❤

Where She Went (If I Stay #2)
By Gayle Forman
Publication Date: April 5th 2011
Rating: 5/5 stars
It's been three years since the devastating accident . . . three years since Mia walked out of Adam's life forever.
Now living on opposite coasts, Mia is Juilliard's rising star and Adam is LA tabloid fodder, thanks to his new rock star status and celebrity girlfriend. When Adam gets stuck in New York by himself, chance brings the couple together again, for one last night. As they explore the city that has become Mia's home, Adam and Mia revisit the past and open their hearts to the future - and each other.

Told from Adam's point of view in the spare, lyrical prose that defined If I StayWhere She Went explores the devastation of grief, the promise of new hope, and the flame of rekindled romance.
MY THOUGHTS
Lets have a moment of silence for the author of this book as this was actually just a perfect ending to a wonderful series. I felt every emotion I never thought I could feel. It had flashbacks of their past relationships and it was too much for me to handle! I think this was perfectly brilliantly written and gives hope to those like me who think that the sequel can never be better than the actual first book.

This book is from Adam's point of view and his life after him and Mia stopped seeing eachother completely. His band, the Shooting Stars, have become massive and are about to start their world tour, The trouble is all this fame is breaking the band and his mental health and her finds himself in a constant pool of pills and cigarettes. He might seem to have the perfect life as her is currently dating a super strict and famous movie actress who helped him put him in the limelight. Adam was in New York at the times and sees at a music hall that his ex-girlfriend Mia has become a massive star for Jliard so her decides to go and see her. After that everything changes for the better, they finally start to understand what made the dowfall to their relationship and how they have become so connected as they ever have before.

I can't really talk about this book without giving out loads of spoilers but I love the fact that each chapter starts with lines from songs Adam has written for his band and it really sets the tone for the chapter. It is like little parts of poetry being added into places which tells us about how Mia leaving him left him handing on a thread. I also love how they try and make it seem like they don't miss eachother but we can all sense the tension. It is quite awkward for them at first but then they were back to their jokey ways. I absolutely love how the message of this book is like how one night can change everything and one night can make it work.

Going through the hardships with Adam was a rollercoaster which made me want to parachute in and cuddle him for ages and ages. I still can't get over how good this book is and wrapped up this whole mini series so well. I usually never agree with the endings of some series but this one gave me hope and now I really want to read any book by Gayle Forman.

Overall, I do think that this book is worth the read and I promise you, hands of heart, that this book will crush your heart literally. They need to make a movie for this one now or I will die!! I am begging for this as I will be the first one camping outside Leicester Square just to see this. If there is not school of course..

Throne Of Glass-A Book Review||❤

Throne Of Glass (#1)
Sarah J. Maas
Publication Date: January 1st 2012
Rating: 10/5 (It was that good!!)
Meet Celaena Sardothien.
Beautiful. Deadly.
Destined for greatness.

In the dark, filthy salt mines of Endovier, an eighteen-year-old girl is serving a life sentence. She is a trained assassin, the best of her kind, but she made a fatal mistake: she got caught.
Young Captain Westfall offers her a deal: her freedom in return for one huge sacrifice. Celaena must represent the prince in a to-the-death tournament—fighting the most gifted thieves and assassins in the land. Live or die, Celaena will be free. Win or lose, she is about to discover her true destiny. But will her assassin’s heart be melted?

MY THOUGHTS
The front of this book claimed that it was 'hotter' than the Hunger Games and I can't help but agree with that statement. This book is filled with sass, an inch of romance and a tonne of fighting. I was a bit iffy when I first saw this book, it didn't look like my type of book until one of friends convinced me to read it. I do not regret reading this book at all! I am so glad I found this series as I am obsessed!!!

Celaena is a former assassin who has been sent to a death camp because she was caught. After pulling through a whole year and nearly escaping she is finally offered freedom from the Prince, Dorian. No one knows who she really is and has to go under an alias to hide her true identity as the royals didn't want to the court to know that they were afraid of a girl. She is trained once more by The Captain Of The Guard as it put against many other criminals like her to become The King's Assassin. Filled with fantasy, fun and swoon worthy characters this is a book which you would throw your money at the bookseller for!

What I loved most about the book were the characters. They were all developed well and I was screaming at them whenever they did anything wrong (In a good way) and shouting 'YASS' whenever they did something I agreed with. They were all developed enough and there weren't too many being thrown in my face. My favourite character would have to be Nehima the Princess as she is a determined and good willed person.

I also loved the story line in this book. It injected an element of mystery which was fun trying to solve what was going on. Sometimes you would think that all the clues would lead to something but then it would twist and have you at the edge of your seat! I liked the idea having a female character battling against men and proving her point as she is looked down upon as a dainty women. Although there is a sprinkle of romance it definitely isn't a love triangle which gave it a massive thumbs up!!

Overall I would recommend this book to anyone even if you are a fantasy hater, this will change you for the better. As a person who thinks that nothing would ever beat the Hunger Games they both do have the fighting parts but I would say these are two completely different books. I can't wait to pick up the second instalment to the series!!

Music Monday||❤

Hey guys,
I just wanted to share what I have been listening to this week whilst reading and doing homework!

This album has been playing every single day!! I swear I am addicted, my favourite song from it at the moment is F.E.A.R. Transmission: As War Fades and In The End. This is mainly quite a hardcore rock band so if you are not a fan of loud music I don't advise you to listen to this.

This is by far my favourite band and their song Is There Somebody Who Can Watch You reduces me to tears. I always have this song on repeat on my spotify and is probably my most played song at the moment.

These are my two song picks of the week! I might make this a weekly thing!
